Next Friday, the 9th of March, ACB is coming back to Brazil with yet another event. One of the main fights of the night is a clash between former bantamweight contender Matheus Mattos and russian knockout artist Nashkho Galaev.
What do you expect form Brazil?
- My training partners told me that the climate in Brazil can seriously affect your performance so I hope it won't be a big problem for me but as they say: man plans, God laughs.
You're knocking your opponents out left and right, are you expecting the same result in the upcoming fight, and give us your thoughts on Mattos?
- What can I say? It is what it is. I have no idea why I'm knocking people out.
Mattos is a good, serious opponent. He likes to strike just like I do. So I hope we'll show spectacular fight! (smiles)
Do you have any idea what's next for you after the fight?
- Honestly, I have no clue what's going to happen if I win this fight. I don't even think about it, right now I have only one goal - to beat Mattos.
You've knocked your last two opponents out with brutal knee strikes, give us your thoughts on that?
- I'm always practicing my knee strikes, I'm trying to find the right timing for it. My last two opponents have had more of a wrestling oriented styles, so it's only logical that they were trying to take me down. My goal was to catch them coming in and that's exactly what I did.
