Former ACA lightweight champion Abdul-Aziz Abdulvakhabov will make his welterweight debut against former UFC fighter Gleison Tibau. The bout will take place on October 4 at ACA 208 in Grozny.
Abdulvakhabov enters his first fight in the new division with a professional record of 22 wins and two losses. The Russian fighter currently sits at the top of the ACA pound-for-pound rankings.
In April, Abdulvakhabov vacated the ACA lightweight title after deciding not to face his teammate Daud Shaikhaev and opted to continue his career in a heavier weight class. In his most recent fight, in July 2025, he knocked out fellow Russian Ali Bagov.
Standing across from him will be experienced Brazilian veteran Gleison Tibau. The former UFC fighter holds a professional MMA record of 40 wins and 19 losses and enters the bout on a three-fight winning streak. During his career, Tibau has faced both Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev.
ACA 208 will take place on October 4 in Grozny. In the main event, reigning ACA lightweight champion Daud Shaikhaev will defend his title against Bibert Tumenov.
