The Estonian fighter Denis Smoldarev has been in professional MMA for 6 years and has gone through 14 fights. Once Smoldarev had a chance to become the M-1 champion in the heavyweight division, however Marcin Tybura did not yield to him. In his amateur career, Denis has repeatedly become the champion and the winner of Estonian national championships in judo, he has won two silver and one bronze medals of the world championships at a youth level. He has been selected in the Estonian national team.
On January 21 Dennis will try his hand in the ACB league and he will probably want to show everyone that he is worthy to immediately jump in the title race. Smoldarev will face the Pole Michal “Longer” Andryszak – a repeated participant of the ACB tournaments with a record of 17 wins and 6 losses. “Longer” has excellent strength training, endurance and desire to win. He owns a powerful punch, and he also manages attacks and defenses well. Michal does not like to let the judges determine the outcome of the match, and out of his 17 wins he finished 11 fights by KO and 5 by submissions.
And there was not a single win by decision! Apparently he is not going to give in to the League’s newcomer Denis Smoldarev. Michal’s last fight took place at the ACB 41 tournament on July 15. He confidently won it at 33 sec of round 1, knocking out Tim Hague. On January 21 at the ACB 52 tournament in Vienna, we are in for a serious and certainly spectacular fight between two strongest heavyweights.
