Gaforov vs. Bunes Named New Co-Main Event for ACA 209

A flyweight bout between Tajikistan's Azam Gaforov and Brazil's Felipe Bunes will serve as the new co-main event of ACA 209, scheduled for October 30 in Dushanbe. The announcement was made by ACA President Magomed Bibulatov.

The co-main event was originally set to feature Tajikistan's Loik Radzhabov against Russia's Nikolay Aleksakhin. However, Radzhabov was forced to withdraw after suffering a serious biceps tear.

Gaforov will now face 36-year-old Brazilian Felipe Bunes (14-9), a former UFC fighter who accepted the matchup on short notice after Gaforov's originally scheduled opponent was changed.

The bout will mark Bunes' return to ACA. The Brazilian previously competed in the promotion, making five appearances.

ACA 209 will be headlined by a middleweight clash between Tajikistan's Faridun Odilov and Russia's Artem Frolov.

The event will take place on October 30 in Dushanbe, marking ACA's return to Tajikistan after an 11-year absence. A total of 17 bouts are scheduled for the fight card.
