The Flyweight fought four times in his professional career and all in the ACB cage. Even though he lost his last fight he still is one of the most promising prospects in the division. Now, Valeriy Khazhirokov is scheduled to fight Ruslan Belikov and he shared some thoughts about his last fight, preparation for the next one and his team morale:
"I don't want to make any excuses. I was in great shape but I did get sick the week before the fight. I didn't want to pull out of the fight, I was hoping to get better in time but everything happens by the God's will. Of course it was a bitter pill to swallow. So many thoughts were going through my head but I met Mairbek Khasiev, the president of the ACB, after the fight and his words of support helped me a lot. Win or lose - it's all in God's hands. I thank him for that.
I have no prediction for my upcoming fight, we will see what's going to happen February 16th. I'm training in my hometown as usual. Two training session a day plus I have a full-time job. This means I can't have a real training camp. Morale in our team is strong, as usual. I wasn't able to show what I'm capable of in Moscow. With the help of God I'll try to make up for it in Krasnodar."
