Former ACB's bantamweight champion Magomed Magomedov returns to action on July 28th at ACB 90 in Kazan. Magomed has spoken about this upcoming fight.
- You're scheduled to face Walter Pereira at ACB 90. Give us your thoughts on your opponent?
He's a tough guy, he fights till the end but I don't think that he's a big threat to for me. It's him who better be careful because I'm going on the hunt in Kazan. I'm getting ready for a tough fight. He's a well-rounded fighter but I'm going to beat him in all aspects of the game.
- You were very careful in your last fight. Why is that?
I fought a smart, tactical fight against Skrivers. He's an experienced fighter. He's good both on the feet and on the ground. We wanted to make him tired in the first round and then strike with him in the 2nd and 3rd. And it worked. We're trying to find a key to victory against every opponent, so my hand is raised at the end of the night. It was a great experience for me. I wasn't expecting Skrivers to be so tough.
- How is preparation going?
I had a training camp in Khasavyurt under Aslan Mamedov. We were focusing on my striking a lot. Also we are trying to find a key to beat my next opponent. For the last part of my preparation I'll return to my gym "Dagestan Fighter" and work under my head coach Mansur Uchakaev. I'm already in a great shape. Now the main goal is to stay healthy and not overtrain.
