Former ACB bantamweight champion Magomed Magomedov will face Latvian fighter Edgars Skrivers tomorrow at ACB 83. Ahead of his bout, Magomedov has spoken about his opponent and title ambitions.
How was your preparation for this fight?
- For this fight, just like for any other fight, I was preparing in Dagestan. I’m in a great shape and I’ll show an exciting fight on March 24th. On behalf of “Dagestan fighter” I want to thank “Goretz”, “Champion” and “Agat” gyms for the hospitality, while my gym was closed.
Give us your thoughts on the opponent?
- I’ve watched some of his fights. He’s never been finished, he’s a tough, patient fighter who fights till the end. Which means that neither of us will back up and we’ll try to show you a fight of the night.
Do you want to get the belt back?
- In yesterday’s main event at ACB 83 Oleg Borisov and Rustam Kerimov will collide in a fight for a vacant bantamweight title. It’s a very interesting fight. I’m cheering for Rustam for sure. If he wins, then I’ll just continue to fight top guys, because he’s my training partner and I’m not going to fight him. And if Oleg wins, I’d really want to get my title back and beat him again
